Day 3 (Weds 21.10)

Day 3 (Wednesday 21st October 2026)

Day 3 at Little Canada began with a few extra knocks on chalet doors, as the busy timetable of the day before had taken its toll (some chalets however were wide awake already as also expected) It had been another excellent night for all chalets, who had continued to settle into bed time well and continue this from the first night too.

As we set off for breakfast, the rain once more fell, but this distracted none from the impending Sensory Trail excitement of the day. Soon, the time came for groups (in pairs) to take on the mud and once again near torrential rain for the first hour or so. We were amazed by the children’s efforts though, who ALL got stuck in and gave this their absolute Woodley best – we even hastened as staff to dub this one of the best Sensory Trails ever in terms of teamwork, commitment and effort. Hopefully the pictures in the video and slideshows will do the children justice, who with this have made us all very proud this week too.  Many children’s organisation of clothes on the other hand…..no comment.

At lunchtime, the also hotly anticipated shop visit came and went – children purchased varieties of gifts (as well as of course, sweets and snacks for the afternoon!) and once again, as a group, we were complimented on the children’s efficiency and lack of fuss with regards to this treat of the trip. Excellent!

As the day continued, groups set out for a Beach Walk – thankfully all experiencing some sun and drier conditions after another wet morning. Alongside this, more adventures with Vertical Challenge and Archery too. As we type, a final successful dinner of the trip has just finished, and children are starting the colossal job to PACK for tomorrow’s departure. Again, we are sure, some much more successfully than others! This will lead into the final evening activity of Balloon Splash, before going to bed with thoughts of home on the horizon.

We hope you have enjoyed keeping up to date with our adventures this week. Thank you for your comments, likes and acknowledgments. The children are all looking forward to seeing you on our arrival, so please keep a look out tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 22nd October) for any updates via text or email regarding our return – see you all then!
