Game Leaders

On the junior playground we have a huge range of activities going on including: giant chess, football, basketball, Da Cau (Vietnamese Foot Shuttlecock), athletics and the very popular 'Craze of the Week'. With all of this going on, the adult staff on duty need some help to get everything organised and that is where our Game Leaders come in.

Game Leaders are Year 5 children who have agreed to take part in a rota to get equipment out, organise games and help with things like choosing teams and dealing with minor issues. They work as volunteers and are trained to run the activities that they are assigned to ensure that they know how to organise the game, the safety rules and how to deal with minor problems that might come up. The Game Leaders also help with teaching any people new to a game the rules and how to play and remind people of the rules of the game if they have forgotten.

Game Leaders can easily be found because they wear bright green 'Game Leader' t-shirts.

Of course, if there is something that a Game Leader can't sort out, they refer the problem to one of the adults on duty, who are always willing to help.
